Overview

UDT has a resource called Endpoint Vendors, it is a pie chart that contains the breakdown of the endpoint counts per vendor.

Cause

UDT detects endpoint vendor by MAC address. The list of MAC to vendor matching can be found in dbo.MACPrefixes table. All prefixes that does not exist in this table are considered unknown.

Resolution

We can manually add the MAC Prefix to the database.
Note:
Upgrading the SolarWinds application will remove the manually added entries.
Make sure to create a SolarWinds database backup.
