Supported Operating System Failure

This article describes the issue when you are upgrading NPM and receive this error: Your Operating System is Not Supported or The operating system is not supported. Please upgrade your operating system, and then run the SolarWinds Installer again.

Cause

SolarWinds products do not support Windows 2003, 2008 (non-R2), XP, 7, Vista, 8.x Standard edition.

Resolution

SolarWinds strongly recommends that you upgrade to Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or later.

Microsoft Windows Server support varies for each SolarWinds product. See Windows Server 2012, 2016, and 2019 and SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2019 Support and review the product list to verify supported Windows Server versions.
