Resolution

SolarWinds Orion Platform 2018.4 and below only support hosting a Microsoft SQL Server database.
Starting with Orion Platform 2019.2, you can deploy your SolarWinds Orion database to Azure SQL DB.
With Amazon Web Services, you can deploy your SolarWinds Orion database using Amazon RDS and Amazon VM. Learn more here.
SolarWinds Orion DOES NOT support hosting a database on other database hosting solutions, such as MySQL, Oracle, or DB2.
