Automatically expire password in limits and setting of Serv-U

Serv-U login account password can be configured to expire. This limit can be configured at the Global, Domain, Group or User level and the counting starts upon enabling it.

Overview

Serv-U login account password can be configured to expire. This limit can be configured at the Global, Domain, Group or User level and the counting starts upon enabling it. It means the user would still be able to log in using their current password. Please refer to the steps below.

Resolution

  1. Access Serv-U Management console
  2. Go to Limits & Settings (Global or Domain)
  3. In the Limits Tab, set Limit type to Password
  4. Modify "Automatically expire passwords"

Note: If you want it to never expire, set the days to  "0".
