Stop the UDT log file

This article provides steps to turn off UDT logging. By default UDT stores log files to the C:\Temp directory. This could cause issues with disk space on the drive.

Resolution

  1. Stop all the Orion services. - Start and stop Orion services .
  2. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to directory C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\UDT\
  3. Create a backup of the SolarWinds.UDT.BusinessLayer.dll.config file.
  4. Using a text editor, open SolarWinds.UDT.BusinessLayer.dll.config
  5. Search for the following line: 
    <source name="System.ServiceModel" switchValue="Off,ActivityTracing" propagateActivity="true">


    and replace it with:

    <source name="System.ServiceModel" switchValue="Off">

     

  6. Save the file.
  7. Restart all the Orion services.
