Some SolarWinds Platform Scheduled Weekly Reports are not Received or Missing

This article provides steps in resolving issue when scheduled reports were ran and some reports are not received or missing. Reports were received but with blank pdf attachment(s).

This article provides a solution when some scheduled reports sent to email are not received, or received but were blank pdf pages. Error will show " error shows " The page failed to load".

Network Performance Monitor

Cause

Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service. The report query is taking a long time because of a large amount of data, and the operation has exceeded the timeout limit.

 

 

Resolution

Important! Increase conversion delay may cause performance issues.  This value will be the min. amount of time to load a page.  SolarWinds does not recommend increasing more than 1 minute.

Steps to resolve the Issue

  1. Login to the SolarWinds Platform and navigate to the Advanced Configuration at https://<OrionIP>/Orion/Admin/AdvancedConfiguration/Global.aspx
  2. Scroll down to the ExportToPDFCmd.ExportToPDFSettings.  Set the value for Conversion Delay and Navigation timeout to 1 minute and 5 minutes, respectively.
  • Conversion Delay to 00:01:00 minutes
  • Navigation timeout to 00:05:00 minutes
  1. Save the changes, restart services if prompted, and test the export function again.
