Overview
You have Solarwinds Platform version 2020.2.6 installed and running on Windows Server 2022
Suddenly after few months after deployment, the Solarwinds information service on 2 Main poller (primary and Standby ) is getting stopped
Up on checking windows event logs, we can see the Service is crashing due access violation error to this error
- Rebooted servers
- No recent Windows updates installed, last updates march 2022. Only MS patches that were installed were:
[01]: KB5012123
[02]: KB5012604
[03]: KB5011652
- Uninstalled and Re-installed VC++ runtimes 2015-2019
There is one more interesting error right before the above error, which is what is causing the access violation error.

- Solarwinds platform version 2020.2.6 is not supported on windows OS 2022
- In order to get support you need to Upgrade to Solarwinds platform 2022.x or higher
- If the issue persists, install February 4, 2022-KB5011258 Update for .NET Framework 4.8 for Microsoft server operating system version 21H2 - Microsoft Support if missing OR install latest cumulative .net updates released till July/October - these updates includes the KB5011258
- Run the configuration wizard
If you have High Availability, ensure all servers have this patch installed to avoid SWIS restart problem.
