Cause

SolarWinds NTA is designed to collect and analyze NetFlow data but does not include functionality to forward or relay collected flow data to other hosts or applications.

Resolution

SolarWinds NTA cannot forward NetFlow data once it has been collected. To send flow data to multiple destinations, configure your flow-enabled network devices (such as routers or switches) to export NetFlow data directly to:

  • The SolarWinds NTA server

  • Any additional external collectors or SIEM platforms that support NetFlow ingestion

Each destination must receive the flow data independently from the network device. This is the supported and recommended approach.
