This article discusses a resolution to an issue in which you are unable to start SolarWinds Log Forwarder for Windows. The following message appears on startup:

SolarWinds Log Forwarder for Windows (Log Forwarder for Windows) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

Cause

Too many events were being logged in the subscription configuration of SolarWinds Log Forwarder.

Resolution

Uncheck all the events and create smaller subscriptions, so that the service can start without a problem.
