SolarWinds Installer could not determine which product to install

When running the SolarWinds Installer ISO file to install a SolarWinds Platform product or the SolarWinds Observability Network Collector, you are informed that the installer could not detect the product to install. By default, the installer installs Hybrid Cloud Observability Advanced Enterprise Scale. To install a different SolarWinds Platform module or the Network Collector, see the Resolution.

The installer could not recognize the installation context. It might be caused by not using the native Windows functionality to mount the ISO file.

To make the installer determine the product, use the native Windows functionality to run the installer.

1. Double-click the installation ISO file to mount the ISO file.
2. Run the installer from the mounted ISO file. The installer should detect the product correctly.
3. If the issue persists, execute the installer with the /OFFLINEEXE parameter:
   1. Open the command line and navigate to the drive with the ISO file.
   2. Execute the installer with the /OFFLINEEXE parameter set to the name of the ISO file.
      Note: The ISO file name includes the data center used to send collected data to SolarWinds Observability. See Find the data center and endpoints for your organization to verify the SWOURL value in the command.

SolarWinds.Installer.exe /OFFLINEEXE=Solarwinds.Observability.NetworkCollector.OfflineInstaller_SOC_SWOURL=dc-01.cloud.solarwinds.com.iso

The installer will detect the product correctly.
