Shared Templates on Thwack is unable to reach thwack.com in SolarWinds Platform

The Shared Templates on Thwack cannot be listed in SAM Templates.

Overview

The option to import Shared Templates on Thwack is currently unavailable.

Once you try to open Shared Templates on Thwack, it shows the following message:

"Unable to reach thwack.com. Server may have limited internet connectivity."

The OrionWeb log shows the following error:

ERROR ThwackAPM - (null) Failed to get thwack post items from https://thwackfeeds.solarwinds.com/productfeeds/contentlibrary.aspx
System.Net.WebException: The request was aborted: The connection was closed unexpectedly.
at System.Net.WebClient.DownloadDataInternal(Uri address, WebRequest& request)
at System.Net.WebClient.DownloadData(Uri address)
at ThwackAPM.GetPostItems(String url)

Cause

In 2025, Thwack released a new platform and this new platform does not support API that SWOSH is using.

It is not a problem of SAM. All modules in SWOSH that are using THWACK API cannot communicate with it.

Resolution

There is no fix available at the moment.

The Development team is currently reviewing a solution, as it depends on Thwack changes to restore communication to the SolarWinds Platform.
