Set up the Agent License Recycling option in SEM

This article describes how to set up the SEM Agent License Recycling option. This article will help if there are imaged nodes that the agent resets or if you would like to automatically control the license count when a node has the agent removed or is no longer on the network.

Resolution

On the SEM Web console menu bar, navigate to Manage > Appliances.
In the Properties pane, click the License tab.
Select the Enable license recycling check box, and then set the frequency according to your requirements.

Note: Frequent recycling of licenses may result to legitimate nodes having their license recycled while they are off. The normal frequency is to keep the license from two to four weeks. This is to avoid recycling a license on a node that has been off for a number of days.
