- Open FTP Voyager and start the Site Profile Manager by clicking the Site Profiles button in the Browser ribbon that displays automatically.
- Select the site profile to configure.
- Click the Connection Type menu under Site Information.
- Select the secure connection mode you want to use. You can get this information from your server administrator.

After the SSL settings are added, FTP Voyager assumes that the server associated with this site profile is FTPS or SFTP-enabled. If it is not, any attempts to connect will fail until either the server is configured to allow secure connections, or you connect again using standard FTP. If the SSL connection is established, extra status messages will be displayed to confirm that SSL mode has been activated.
