Set up a Windows firewall on Serv-U gateway residing on DMZ
This article describes how to created inbound rules to allow specific ports to pass through the Serv-U gateway using the Windows firewall.

Note: Do not open any ports from DMZ to Internet or DMZ to Internal Network.
- Run the following command to verify if the Serv-U Gateway is listening to TCP port 1180:
netstat -an | findstr 1180 - Click Start > Run and execute:
firewall.cpl - Click Advanced Settings
- Right-click Inbound Rules and select Add New Rule.
- Go to Port >TCP > Specific local ports > FTP/S; HTTP/S, SFTP including high ports (50,000-50,009) >Allow connection > Domain, Private, Public.
- Click Finish.
