Set up a Windows firewall on Serv-U gateway residing on DMZ

Resolution

Note: Do not open any ports from DMZ to Internet or DMZ to Internal Network.
 

  1. Run the following command to verify if the Serv-U Gateway is listening to TCP port 1180:  
    netstat -an | findstr 1180
  2. Click Start > Run and execute: 
    firewall.cpl
  3. Click Advanced Settings
  4. Right-click Inbound Rules and select Add New Rule.
  5. Go to Port >TCP > Specific local ports > FTP/S; HTTP/S, SFTP including high ports (50,000-50,009) >Allow connection > Domain, Private, Public.
  6. Click Finish.
