Note these details about sending alerts externally:

Text alerts via 3rd party software (paid option):

  1. In the SolarWinds Platform Web Console, navigate to Settings > All Settings > Manage Alerts.
  2. Click Add New Alert and begin creating the alert.
  3. When you reach the Trigger Actions page, click Add Action.
  4. To use Notepager Pro, select Dial Paging or SMS Service.

The free option does not require a 3rd party software:

  1. To use an email gateway via a wireless provider, select Send an E-Mail/Page
  2. When adding email addresses, use the format specified by your provider (for example,  9055556543@vtext.com)
  3. Finish configuring the alert by following the on-screen prompts.
