Overview

This article describes steps to set the Serv-U Management Console password. By default, the Serv-U Management Console can be accessed freely when logged in to the server on which Serv-U is installed without the need for any credentials. Resolution

The Serv-U Management Console can be password-protected when it is launched by double-clicking on the Serv-U system tray icon. When the Management Console is running in this way, the option to change the password becomes available. By default, there is no admin password.

Here are the steps:

1. Launch the Management Console and go to Server > Limits and Settings.
2. Go to the Settings tab, and click Change Admin Password in the lower left.
3. Enter a password, and then click OK.
