Resolution

  1. When adding a new node, check the option on the Add Node screen to use Dynamic IP Address (DHCP or BOOTP).
  2. If you're modifying an existing node, click Manage Nodes.
  3. Select the desired node.
  4. Click Edit Node, and then check the Dynamic IP Address option.
  5. Submit your changes.

Note: DNS resolution is dependent on the DNS server defined on the Orion server. In the case that node goes down due to the DNS server was not able to resolve the new IP address immediately, this will be a DNS issue and not on the SolarWinds application.
