This article explains the steps to set a connection profile in Network Configuration Manager (NCM) to auto-detect and set a node to a connection profile to auto-determine which profile to use.

Resolution

Go to NCM Settings > Connection Profiles under Global Device Defaults.
For each profile, edit and check the box to enable automatic use at the bottom.
Go to Configuration Management and select desired nodes.
Click on Edit Properties.
Scroll to the bottom for Connection Profile
Under Global Connection Profile, select Auto Detect.
Save changes.
