Resolution

To send Serv-U logs to a syslog server, use the imfile module on a Linux system to pass the logs to a syslog server.

For example, modify your /etc/rsyslog.conf file using the following:

# Monitor Serv-U's files

$ModLoad imfile
$InputFileName /Full_Path_To_Serv-U_Log_File
$InputFileTag tag1:
$InputFileStateFile stat-file1
$InputFileSeverity info
$InputFileFacility local7
$InputRunFileMonitor

For more information about the imfile module, see imfile: Text File Input Module (© 2018 Rainer Gerhards and Others, available at https://www.rsyslog.com/ , obtained on December 4, 2018)
