Serv-U Management Console will not open after upgrading to version 15.3

Overview


The Serv-U Management Console will not completely load. The behavior is as follows:
  • The console shows Java script error
  • The Management Console gets stuck while loading

Resolution


Set system default browser:
  1. Right-click Serv-U tray icon (at the lower right hand corner of the task bar) then enable “Use System Browser.”
  2. Relaunch Serv-U management console.

Use another browser application:
  1. Install another browser inside the Serv-U server (Chrome or Firefox).
  2. Set this browser as the Default Browser in the server. Go to Control Panel > Default Programs > set Chrome or Firefox as the default browser.
  3. Right-click the Serv-U tray icon (at the lower right hand corner of the task bar) then enable “Use System Browser.”
  4. Relaunch the Serv-U management console.
