Serv-U Management Console is not accessible on any browser when launching from the server

This article describes an issue and a workaround when the Serv-U management won't open on the server.

Overview

This applies to the following scenario:
  • When opening the Serv-U management console using the native UI, it is a blank or white page
  • When opening the Serv-U management console using Chrome, it is a blank page and no URL
  • When opening the Serv-U management console using IE, it is also not accessible and has a URL but missing the IP address

Cause

Not known.

Resolution

1. Add the loopback IP 127.0.0.1 in the URL when opening in IE.

2. Copy the complete URL and then open it in Chrome if you prefer Chrome for the Serv-U console.
3. Create a shortcut to this link for easy access to the Serv-U console
