Overview

Serv-U Gateway provides defense in depth to your existing or new Serv-U deployments. It acts as a reverse proxy in demilitarized zone (DMZ) segments and prevents your Serv-U deployments from storing data in the DMZ or opening connections from the DMZ to the internal network.

Once Serv-U Gateway is installed, there is no GUI that you can navigate to configure the application. It runs only in the background and all of the connection settings are done from the Serv-MFT Console.

Resolution

Serv-U Gateway does not have log rotation settings like in the Serv-U MFT. All activity that passes through the gateway is saved in a file called "Serv-U-Gateway.txt" that can be found in the following locations.
  • C:\ProgramData\RhinoSoft\Serv-U Gateway (Windows)
  • /usr/local/Serv-U Gateway (Linux)

The logs in the Serv-U-Gateway.txt resets only when you restarted the Serv-U Gateway service or rebooted the server.
