After upgrading to the latest version 15.5.0, Serv-U starts randomly crashing or not responding. The Event Viewer's application logs may indicate APPCrash informational entries.

Cause

The recent code introduced to enhance the application's security posture causes a memory leak in heavy traffic, causing it to crash.

Resolution

Serv-U 15.5.1 is now available and includes a fix for this issue. Please consider upgrading your environment. If you are unable to upgrade, work with SolarWinds Support to apply the buddy drop below.
