This article discusses how you can isolate which services are causing high CPU consumption on the Orion server.

Resolution

Open Task Manager.
Go to View > Select Columns.
Make sure that the PID is selected.
Identify the consuming process and note the process ID (PID).
Select the Services tab.
Click the PID column and sort by PID.
Identify the services associated with the process by locating the PID.
With SVCHost, a single instance may be associated with multiple services. As it happens, ProcessExplorer cannot distinguish between them. This is new with Server 2008.
