SSH Security Notice shown when editing NCM-managed nodes

When you edit an NCM-managed node that uses SSH, NCM displays an SSH Security Notice on the Edit Properties or Edit Node page.

This is expected behavior in NCM 2026.2 and later, not an error. In NCM 2026.2.x, the SSH Security Notice on the Edit Node or Edit Properties page is by design for SSH-managed nodes. It is an informational warning and does not indicate an SSH credential failure or a new node problem. 

In NCM 2026.2.x, SolarWinds added an SSH Security Notice banner to make an existing product behavior explicit: automated NCM SSH operations (configuration backups, scripts, scheduled jobs) do not currently perform SSH host key verification before connecting to devices.
The banner appears when a node is configured with an SSH-based connection profile and you edit NCM properties, especially on the Edit Properties / Edit Node page. It is by design and is not tied to a misconfiguration or a new SSH failure introduced by the upgrade.

2.Review the warning and confirm that the SSH connection is trusted.
3.Select the acknowledgment checkbox.
4.Save the node changes.

There is currently no supported global setting to disable the notice or automatically save the acknowledgment for all nodes.
