Overview

The article provides information on enabling the InfiniBox series of storage arrays so they can be monitored with SolarWinds Storage Resource Monitor (SRM). It should be used in conjunction with the Add your storage array for monitoring with the SRM topic in the Success Center documentation or online help

Monitoring is performed through the onboard REST API.

The InfiniBox storage array does not require a special configuration to be monitored by SRM.

Applies to

  • Infinidat InfiniBox (F2000, F4000, F6000) arrays with firmware version 5.0 +.

Credential required to add the array

Ensure you have the following information:

  • IP address or hostname for the array
  • Credential name, or array username and password
  • Protocol. The default is HTTP

Issue with performance polling

If performance polling fails, this may be because there are no file systems on the array.

To remedy this issue, a temporary workaround is to create a file system. SRM will then use this file system to collect the performance statistics. Failure to create a file system may cause polling to fail and SRM may indicate that the array is unreachable (even though the array is reachable by all other methods).
