SRM: Enable an IBM FlashSystem (REST API) array

This article provides information on enabling the IBM FlashSystem (REST API) of storage arrays so they can be monitored with SolarWinds Storage Resource Monitor (SRM). Monitoring is performed through a RESTful on-board API.

Overview

This topic provides information on enabling the IBM FlashSystem (REST API) of storage arrays so they can be monitored with SolarWinds Storage Resource Monitor (SRM). Monitoring is performed through a RESTful on-board API. 

It should be used in conjunction with the Add your storage array for monitoring with SRM topic in the Success Center documentation or online help.

Environment: SRM 2025.4

This array requires firmware version 8.7.0 or later.

Credentials required to add the array: IP address or hostname for the array

Ensure you have the following information before adding the provider to SRM: 

  • IP address or hostname for the array

  • Credential name 

  • Array API username

  • Array API Password

  • Protocol. The default is HTTPS

  • API port. The default is 7443.
