This article explains how to enable the HPE Alletra 5000/6000 storage arrays so they can be monitored with SolarWinds Storage Resources Monitor (SRM). Monitoring is performed through onboard REST APIs on the array.

Resolution

To start monitoring HPE Alletra 5000/6000, use the operator user role, which is the last privileged permission type for SRM.

To enroll the array, ensure you have the following information:

  • IP address or hostname for the array
  • Credential name
  • Array API username
    Array API  password
  • Protocol
    Default: HTTPS
  • API port
    Default: 5392
