Overview

This article describes how to enable the Pure Storage SMI-S Provider in order for the SolarWinds Storage Resource Monitor (SRM) to monitor Pure storage arrays.  It should be used in conjunction with the Add your storage array for monitoring with SRM topic in the Success Center documentation or online help

    Add the array

    Pre-requisites:
    1. Before adding the array in SRM via Orion web console please make sure the required ports listed below are open between Solarwinds Poller on which the array is being added and the Array node itself.

    2. The Pure Storage SMI-S provider is initially disabled. To enable, login to the Pure Storage Web Management Interface >  and click the Enable button.

    You can also enable the provider via the Purity Command Line Interface using the  command.

    3. Required Credentials available to you to add the array

    • IP address or hostname for the array
    • SMI-S username
    • SMI-S password
    • Array API username
    • Array API password
    • Protocol. The default is HTTPS
    • Array API HTTP port. The default is 5988
    • Array API HTTPS port. The default is 5989
    • Interop Namespace. The default is /interop
    • Array Namespace. The default is /purestorage
    • Array API HTTP port. The default is 80
    • Array API HTTPS port. The default is 443
    • API protocol schema. The default is HTTPS

    SRM Supports Purity version 4.6 and Rest API version 1.4 or above.
