SRM: Enable a NetApp FAS/AFF (ONTAP REST API) array

Overview

This article provides information on enabling your NetApp FAS/AFF (ONTAP REST API) array to SRM. It should be used in conjunction with the add your storage array for monitoring with SRM topic in the Success Center documentation , and NetApp documentation at NetApp Support (© 2023 NetApp, available at https://mysupport.netapp.com/, obtained on 2023), or online help.

NetApp FAS/AFF arrays are cluster mode storage arrays. These are monitored directly through the on-board ONTAP REST APIs on the array. 

NetApp ONTAP login credentials typically need read-only permissions.

Supported firmware:

  • ONTAP OS 9.11.1 or later

Credentials required to add the array
Ensure you have the following information:
  • IP address or hostname for the array
  • Array username
  • Array password
  • Protocol. The default is HTTPS.
