SRM: Enable a NetApp Active IQ Unified Manager

NetApp FAS/AFF series are monitored via an external provider - NetApp Active IQ Unified Manager(AIQUM).

Overview

NetApp FAS series (including the NetApp AFF series) are monitored via an external NetApp server. It should be used in conjunction with the add your storage array for monitoring with SRM topic in the Success Center documentation , visit NetApp Support (© 2023 NetApp, available at https://mysupport.netapp.com/ , obtained on 2023), or online help.

NetApp ONTAP: If you have many NetApp Cluster Mode arrays (including the NetApp AFF series) in your environment, using Active IQ Unified Manager for NetApp series can be a convenient way to add them to SRM.

NetApp Active IQ Unified Manager for NetApp FAS/AFF series can discover NetApp ONTAP arrays and collect data on the arrays it manages. After the NetApp ONTAP arrays are added, you can easily configure SRM to query them directly.

Credentials required to add the array
Ensure you have the following information:

IP address or hostname for the provider.
Provider username.
Provider password.
Protocol. The default is HTTPS.
HTTP port. The default is 80.
HTTPS port. The default is 443.
