SQL servers monitored by SolarWinds Platform throw login failure errors. "Login failed for user '${Username}'. Reason: Could not find a login matching the name provided. [CLIENT: ]"

Overview

The following errors can be found in the "SCM.Pollers.Jobs_[].log*"

 ERROR SolarWinds.Orion.SCM.ElementProcessing.Processors.DatabaseWorker - Unable to execute Sql script.
System.Data.Odbc.OdbcException (0x80131937): ERROR [28000] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server][SQL Server]Login failed for user '${Username}'.

Cause

SCM profile "MS SQL Server Essentials" or similar SQL server profiles are assigned to the node, but the credentials are not specified.

Resolution

If the profile is assigned manually, then modify it and assign the correct credentials.

If the profile got assigned during discovery and is not required, unassign it from the node.
