Identify an incomplete SNMPWALK and complete it.

This article tells you how to find out that a SNMPWALK is incomplete and how to create a complete walk. At the bottom of the SNMPWALK text file, you should find the following message: "No more variables left in this MIB View (It is past the end of the MIB tree)". If it isn't there, the SNMPWALK is not complete. Run the SNMPWALK tool again and merge the resulting text files.

Overview

When you open the text file generated when you run the SNMPWALK tool (see Verify device data for NPM and SAM using SNMPwalk), you should see the following message at the bottom of the file:

"No more variables left in this MIB View (It is past the end of the MIB tree)"

If this message is missing, the walk is incomplete.

Run the SNMPWALK tool again.
Enter the last OID verified in the first SNMPWALK and start from there.
Merge the text files together to finalize a complete walk.
