SNMP V3 test fails when getting an OID

Customer's SNMP V3 keep failing and found the following information: A customer when we try to do an SNMP V3 walk and get OID 1.3.6.1.6.3.15.1.1, fails SNMP V3 test. This happens for multiple devices and multiple manufactures, we see this in Wireshark and the SNMP walk

Overview

SNMP V3 test fails when trying to get OID 1.3.6.1.6.3.15.1.1. This happens for multiple devices and manufacturers. This is also seen in WireShark and SNMP walk.

Cause

The encryption type for Orion and NPM does not support AES56.

Resolution

Force the device to use AES128, 192 or 256 to resolve the issue.

Note: For snmpwalk test, you will need 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1 - sysDescr & 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2 - sysObjectID.
