Overview

SolarWinds SRM data collection is fairly generic, and does not depend on the version of the SMI-S Standard in use, unless something we use has been changed and doesn't allow for backward compatibility.

For example, in the case of EMC VNX Arrays:

The SMI-S provider for file level storage is on the control station; any control station OS version 6.0 or more recent works.
The SMI-S provider for block level storage is installed on a separate machine (or as va), and 4.6.2 is the most recent version that will work.
