Overview

After upgrading to version 2024.4.1, the following widgets for AppInsight SQL Server are not showing any data.
- Active User Connections
- Top 10 Clustered Indexes by Fragmentation
- Top 10 Nonclustered indexes by Fragmentation
- Top 10 Expensive Queries by CPU Time

In the AppInsight SQL Summary page, the error is Access denied, authorization failed. HResult: The specific object is not found on the system.

Running manually the SQL Query that the widgets are using will show that there is data.

Cause

This is a known issue with AppInsight SQL Server in 2024.4.1.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in 2025.2. Please consider upgrading your environment. If you can't upgrade, work with support to determine if a buddy drop is viable for your environment and apply it.
