Resolve installing incompatible product versions

Resolve the "The following product versions are incompatible" error during an upgrade.

Overview

When the SolarWinds installer cannot calculate an install path for the products you want to either upgrade or install, an error about incompatible products is displayed. The error can occur on the main polling engine or on an additional polling engine.

Resolution

Uninstall the incompatible product on the polling engine with the issue.
Follow the instructions to install compatible versions. See SolarWinds Installer , or Legacy upgrade walk-through.
If there is an unused and outdated polling engine or High availability failover server, this should be removed before proceeding with installing. Unused polling engines can be removed from Settings > All Settings > Polling engines (note: all objects must be unassigned first). HA servers can be removed from Settings > My Deployment.
