Reset Windows User's MFA Acccount in Serv-U 2026.3

Overview

Multi-factor account for a Windows single user can be enabled and reset by following the steps herein.

Cause

If a Windows user needs to have their Multi-factor account reset.

Resolution

  1. Go to the domain > Users > Windows Authentication tab > Click on Reset user's MFA account:

 

  1. Type in the valid Windows user name or userPrincipalName (based on the Login ID in Windows).
  2. Click Reset MFA > Continue.
  3. Next window will show "The MFA account has been successfully reset" then click OK.
  4. If "No MFA account found for the specified user." comes up, it means that the MFA account has not been set yet.
