Overview

Require local user authorization when starting a system requirement for some environments to prevent unauthorized remote sessions for some machines, especially machines that have active users.
Dameware Remote Everywhere allows our customers to enable or disable requirements for local user authorization.
Also, tech can customize an action after the specified timeout, such as allowing or denying the remote session.

For Single Device Change:

  1. Connect to the remote device.
  2. Restore/Load the DRE Agent Configuration window.
    • It should be located in the system tray, but you can also use the search option to locate it by the name "Dameware Remote Everywhere Agent Configuration".
  3. Press the SECURITY settings button.
    • If you can't see a SECURITY button, click the Enter Administration Mode icon to the top right of the window - once unlocked, you should be able to view it.
  4. Enable/Check the Require local user authorization when starting a session option.
  5. Click Customize to set the action timeout to allow or deny.
