Remove SAM application monitor template from a large number of nodes

Removing application monitors from multiple nodes can be a slow process if you do it by editing individual nodes. This article describes how to remove application monitors that are all based on a specific template from multiple nodes on the Manage Assigned Application Monitors page.

1. Log in to the SolarWinds Platform Web Console.
2. Click Settings > All Settings. 
3. Under Product Specific Settings, click SAM settings.
4. Under Application Monitors, click Manage Application Monitors.
5. Click the Assigned Application Monitors tab.
6. Click the Group by drop-down menu and select Application Monitor Template.
7. Locate and select the targeted template in the list on the left.
8. In the list on the right, select the check box for each node where you are removing an assigned application monitor. Select the check box at the top of the assigned Application Monitor list to select all rows in the list. After a template is assigned to a node, it's considered to be an "application monitor" for that node. 
9. Click Delete, and then click Yes to confirm the removal.
