The configuration wizard fails with the following error message:

Exception while configuring plugin Recommendations component Recommendations Service. Recommendations service is not installed

The following error is also found in the configuration wizard log:

ConfigurationProgressScene - Exception while configuring plugin Recommendations component Recommendations Service. System.Exception: Recommendations service is not installed

Cause

The Recommendations service is not installed or is corrupted.

Resolution

Stop all services using Orion Service Manager.
Go to C:\Programdata\Solarwinds\Installers.
Right-click on the Solarwinds Recommendations.msi file, and then select Uninstall.
Right-click on the SolarWinds Recommendations.msi file, and then select Install.
Run the configuration wizard.
