Overview

When viewing the details page for a Process Monitor - WMI Component, it reports incorrect values for the following:

Physical Memory Used

 

Note: The Real-Time Process Explorer feature provides accurate values for Physical Memory for the same process(es) being monitored.

Cause

This occurs when the values are too big for 32-bit counters.

Resolution

Change the platform of the application that contains the Process Monitor - WMI monitor from x86 to x64:

  1. Go to Settings > All Settings.
  2. Click SAM Settings > Manage Application Monitors.
  3. Select the application in question and click Edit Properties.
  4. Go to the Advanced section.
  5. Click OVERRIDE TEMPLATE next to Platform to run polling job on.
  6. Set the Platform to run polling job on: to x64.
  7. Click Submit.
