This article addresses a possible name resolution conflict error that displays in the Dameware Mini Remote Control console.

Overview

The Dameware Mini Remote Control console displays the following error when connecting to a remote machine.

Possible Name Resolution Conflict.



Notes: This is a network environment related issue such as local DNS records when resolving machine hostname.

Resolution

Open Dameware Mini Remote Control.
Click View and select Local Global Options.
In the General Options tab, uncheck the Name Resolution Conflict Check checkbox.
Click OK.
