Planned Alert Suppression and Planned Unmanage Window Not Displayed on Manage Nodes Page in SolarWinds Platform

This article provides information about an issue where Planned Alert Suppression and Planned Unmanage Window columns on the Manage Nodes page do not display scheduled maintenance windows, even though alert suppression or unmanage schedules are correctly applied and enforced.

Overview

Users may observe that alert suppression or node unmanage schedules are successfully configured and actively enforced; however, the corresponding maintenance window details are not displayed on the Manage Nodes page as expected.

Common symptoms include:

  • The Planned Alert Suppression and Planned Unmanage Window columns only populate when the maintenance window becomes active and do not display future-dated schedules.

In many cases:

  • Suppression or unmanage details remain visible on the individual Node Details page (for example, via the Upcoming Maintenance Schedules for this Entity widget).
  • Alerts are correctly suppressed during the scheduled maintenance window.
  • Node unmanage actions occur as scheduled.

Cause

In current SolarWinds Platform versions, the Manage Nodes page does not fully support how future maintenance windows are handled by the newer scheduling system. The Planned Alert Suppression and Planned Unmanage Window columns are updated only when a maintenance window is actively in effect, not when it is scheduled for a future time.

As a result:

  • Upcoming maintenance is correctly listed on the Node Details page or in maintenance schedule views.
  • The corresponding columns on the Manage Nodes page remain empty until the scheduled window actually starts.

Note: This is a known display behavior. The underlying functionality of alert suppression and unmanage schedules works as expected; only the Manage Nodes display is affected.

Resolution

At this time, there is no available workaround to force the Manage Nodes page to consistently display upcoming maintenance windows.

As of January 30, 2026, a fix implementation date has not yet been defined.

Recommended actions:

  • Use the Node Details page (for example, via the Upcoming Maintenance Schedules for this Entity widget) to verify upcoming or active maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor upcoming Release Notes for product fixes and enhancements related to maintenance scheduling and UI behavior.
