Resolution

You have created a customer update rule template using the update management wizard and saved the file in C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Patch Manager\Server\Templates\configmgmt\MyCustomrule.urt (default location)
You want to share this template with other PM users in different location(s) who have Automation roles installed.
The file is copied to %AppData%\Local\SolarWinds\Templates\configmgmt\ for userA/UserB. However, the file is deleted when the PM console session is re-opened.
To permanently store the template file, copy it to C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Patch Manager\Server\Templates\configmgmt\MyCustomrule.urt location on the Automation server(s).
