Overview

You deployed PM agent using the offline installer package from SPM console.

Installed the PM agent on the client machine, and during the Configuration Wizard sequence, filled in the details of PAS/SAS including IPv4 address/hostname and Port etc. But the agent is showing as disconnnected and the Agent Service is running fine, and there are no firewall issue/blockages.

Cause

The agent binds to IPv6 address on port 4092 to PAS by default for some reason.

Resolution

  1. From the Patch manager agent machine (each), open the file C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Patch Manager\Agent\EminentWare.Agent.Service.exe.cfg, and then look at the tag IPAddress0 - it is binding to IPv6 address.
  2. Change the address to IPv4 address and restart the Agent service
