Patch manager configuration wizard failing with error - Local Account Validation Failed: Local Account Validation failed! Account 'SPMServer\svc_pm' is not a member of local Administrators group.

Overview

When you install or repair Patch Manager and then run configuration wizard, you may see following error

Cause

The validation is requiring the FQDN\Username format to validate properly
Some GPO Account policy is blocking

Resolution

For the user account you wish to use, type the name as follows:
```
DOMAIN.COM\USERNAME
```
You must specify the FQDN of the domain for the user.
Type the password for the account and click Next.
