Patch Manager - Create custom view to exclude non-windows updates

This article provides steps on how to create a custom view to exclude specific products or product classification in the Patch Manager MMC console.

The following steps will guide you through the process of creating a custom view. For example, to create a Microsoft only product view:

1. Log in to Patch Manager Console
2. Expand Enterprise > Update Service > WSUS Server
3. Right click on Updates
4. Click on New Update View
5. Under Step 1: Select Properties, select the last checkbox Updates are from MS update, Third Parties, or both
6. Under Step 2: Edit the properties, Click Any update Source in blue and select MS update only
7. Under Step 3: Specify the update view name and description, enter a name for the view, such as MS updates only, and then click OK.

A new view is now created under the node WSUS server > Updates.
