Overview

When you click Configs in the SolarWinds Platform Web Console and select Config Summary in the toolbar, the Config Summary displays. In this page, the Overall Running vs. Startup Config Conflicts pie chart does not reflect changes in the startup configs.

Cause

Cause 1: Running config has not been copied over to the startup config.

Cause 2: A device does not really have a startup config (Ex: Cisco Ironport) but a copy of a config tagged as startup is listed in NCM for the said device.

Resolution

Resolution 1:

  1. Open the SolarWinds Platform Web Console.
  2. Click Configs, and then click Config Management in the toolbar. 
  3. Click Execute script and execute the following script:
    write memory
  4. Download a new startup config for the device.
  5. Perform a manual comparison.

Resolution 2: 

  1. Open the SolarWinds Platform Web Console.
  2. Click Configs, and then click Config Management in the toolbar.
  3. Expand the node in question and locate copies of the startup config.
  4. Delete the copies of the startup config.
