Outdated version of Java in VMAN installation

Some installations of Virtualization Manager may contain outdated versions of Java. These outdated versions of Java are not used by the latest version of Virtualization Manager and folders containing the outdated versions of Java can safely be deleted.

Overview

Outdated versions of Java are not used by the latest version of Virtualization Manager and folders containing the outdated versions of Java can safely be deleted. For installations that use the default installation path, OpenJDK packages (current and outdated) can be found under C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\OpenJDK\.

Cause

Older versions of Java previously used by older versions of VMAN have not been removed.

Resolution

Outdated versions of Java can safely be deleted. For installations that use the default installation path, OpenJDK packages (current and outdated) can be found under C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\OpenJDK\.

You can safely delete all but the newest version. E.G. if you have the following folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\OpenJDK\13. <- safe to delete
C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\OpenJDK\14. <- safe to delete
C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\OpenJDK\[newest version#] <- do not delete. Needed by VMAN installation.
